Danforel was founded over 75 years ago, on a background that recognised the fact that effective sales and export require rational production and distribution. Danforel is currently a privately owned limited liability company with approximately 140 employees. We are also currently the leading and largest producer of smoked trout fillet products.
Certifications
All our fish is ASC certified. This guarantees among other things that they are reared responsibly in relation to the surrounding environment, and in relation to animal feed and animal welfare. ASC certification is subject to strict controls. Our organic fish is also approved for both Danish and EU organic labelling.
